How Oh My Guard makes money
We sell safety products in our own shop. Everything you need in an emergency is free, and what we sell has no say in what we tell you to do.
Where the money comes from
Oh My Guard is run by Jarisol Technical Solutions Pvt Ltd. We earn money when someone buys a product from the Oh My Guard shop. The products recommended on this site are ones we sell ourselves.
If that ever changes, for example if we start recommending another company’s product and earn a commission on it, this page will say so and that recommendation will be labelled where it appears.
What is free
Emergency and essential safety information is free and stays free. None of it needs an account or a purchase.
- Emergency numbers and the emergency panel
- First-aid guidance and the guided checks
- Ask Guard
- Scam Check and the Scam Library
- Real or AI
- Find Help
- Safety Score and the Family Safety Kit
Recommendations do not influence emergency instructions
What to do in an emergency comes from written first-aid guidance and the official helpline list. It is the same whether or not we sell anything related to it, and nothing in the shop can change it. A product is only ever about preventing the next incident; it is never offered as a fix for one that has already happened.
When a product is shown
Only when there is a gap
A product appears only where a specific safety gap has been identified, such as a home with no smoke alarm or a daily route past stray dogs. There are no product adverts on the safety tools.
The problem first, the product second
Each recommendation starts with the gap it is for, then says why that product was chosen.
Who does not need it
Every recommendation says who should not buy it. If you already have something that does the job, we say so.
A free alternative, listed first
Where something can be done at no cost, it is shown before any product. The Safety Score will not list a gap whose only fix is something to buy.
Never during an emergency
When what you describe is an emergency, no product is shown at all. You see the number to call, what to do and where to go.
After the guidance, never inside it
Products sit below the safety guidance, under their own heading. They are not mixed into the instructions.
