Delhi's air quality worsens, AQI exceeds 300 at one station

caution

According to India Today, Delhi's air quality has declined to the poor category after four days of moderate levels. One monitoring station recorded an AQI of 316, indicating very poor air quality.

The Central Pollution Control Board reported that the AQI rose from 197 to 229 on Wednesday. Of the 58 monitoring stations, 16 showed moderate air quality, while 41 were classified as poor.

This decline in air quality is a concern for residents in Delhi, especially those with respiratory issues. It is important to stay informed about air quality levels and take necessary precautions.

What to do

  • Check the Air Quality Index regularly to stay updated on pollution levels in your area.
  • Limit outdoor activities, especially during times of poor air quality.
  • Use air purifiers indoors to help reduce exposure to pollutants.
  • Wear masks designed to filter out particulate matter when going outside.
  • Keep windows closed on days with poor air quality to prevent outdoor air from entering.
